I found blower motor bearings dragging. Motor won’t start. Also found weak run capacitor. 35% low. I replaced blower capacitor and oiled bearings for temporary cooling. Work suggested: furnace is 33 years old. Recommend replacing. John C. To price new furnace today.
I found circuit breaker for air conditioner in main panel tripped. I tested unit and found compressor shorted to ground!! I reset circuit breaker and found blown fuse at disconnect box. I tested outdoor fan using temporary jumper. Okay. Tested Freon. OK. Work suggested: replace warranty compressor: $1088. 3 to 5 days for delivery. Replace fuse: $78. AC cleaning: $99. Recommend replacing AC and coil. Declined at this time.
